Stunning c. 1950 Heywood-Wakefield dining table with four chairs. This set is bentwood, not rattan, and appears to be either a custom build or very rare set from the Ashcraft line. We have not found another example of either the chairs or the table anywhere online or in Heywood-Wakefield catalogs. The table has a Heywood-Wakefield stamp on the bottom, and the chairs have an identical base to others in the Ashcraft collection.

While other Ashcraft dining tables feature drop-leaves, this table is made from one solid oblong piece of wood with no leaves. The set includes two captain's chairs and two armless side chairs upholstered in a fun mid-century fabric. With additional chairs, the table could easily seat six.

This set is gorgeous as-is, but it's also a great candidate for professional refinishing, with damage to the tabletop finish (pictured), one cracked chair crossbar, and worn upholstery. Priced accordingly.
